autistic!reader getting overwhelmed/overstimulated at a party w dealer!remus’ friends so remus ditches the party to comfort them (i love your writing sm btw❤️)

You’re not sure what exactly was the tipping point that sent you from mild discomfort to overt discomfort and agitation.

You’re at a party with Remus, sitting in the living room with your phone in your hand as you scrolled through your photos and a couple random apps to pass the time it took Remus to sell to all his friends here.

Usually, you’re good about bringing your ear plugs, and they’d work but even though you don’t have them tonight, you know they’d have been useless.

You can smell an acrid mixture of beer, white rum and weed. You can feel the bass shake you down to your bones and whoever’s sofa this is, it’s the lumpiest thing you’ve ever sat on and the moment you became aware of the lumps there was no use in trying to forget it.

You want to go home but you don’t want to ruin Remus’ night. As inconspicuous as you can, you send him a text.

Going outside to get some air, the smell of alcohol is too much.

Remus texts back, Don’t go out by yourself, I’ll meet you at the door in five minutes.

Maybe you should’ve been clearer, you’re not sure if you can hold out for five minutes.

“You look like someone just told you they imprisoned another orca.” Sirius creeps up on you, making you jump where you’re sitting.

“Sorry, the smell in here is horrid.” Sirius laughs, always having been a fan for your inability to lie. You don’t need to be sheepish around him, come to think of it, none of Remus’ friends mind some of your less than sociable traits.

“Did you phone, Moony? You know he’ll take you home if you aren’t having a good time.”

You shrug, “What if he’s having a good time?”

Sirius doesn’t want to be the one to tell you, because he’s sure you’re somewhat aware already; but Remus could never be having a good time if you weren’t. It’s like your emotions are linked and if you’re not enjoying yourself, Remus will simply rearrange the Earth, till you were.

Sirius is saved from having to give you the rundown, when Remus appears, sponging a kiss to your forehead.

For someone who’s been selling weed and smoking it for as long as he has been, Remus never really smells like that burnt, sweet smell his weed has. He smells like citrus fruit and clove. Spicy and tart.

It grounds you, gives you something else to focus on. Something that’s familiar, fresh and grounding. It settles the itch in your veins and allows you to relax a little.

“Ready to go?” When you look at him, Remus has your bag on his shoulder and your jacket in his hands.

“Home?” You ask, Sirius not even bothering to hide his smile as Remus nods.

“Yeah, figured it was getting a little much. We’ve been here longer than I thought we’d be too.”

It’s just like your boyfriend, to make it so that what you want, to go home, doesn’t seem like it’s being forced on him. In truth, Remus would like to leave too, and he wasn’t lying. He’d only planned for you both to be here an hour or two.

“Are you sure?”

Sirius pats your knee as he leaves, knowing you’re both going to be headed home.

“Positive, dovey. C’mon,” Remus leads you out of the house, watching your shoulders drop as soon as the crisp, cool air of a coming spring fills your lungs. “Put on the sweater, baby. Don’t want you to catch a cold.”

You smile a little to yourself as Remus helps you into the sweater. “Thanks Remmy.”

You’re thanking him for more than just the sweater, but Remus rolls his eyes. He tips your chin up, nose bumping your own before he kisses you.

“Let’s go precious girl, we might be able to stop at that pizza place you like if we hurry.”

Aww🥺🥺 yes! BUUUUT I imagine his fin would stand up again but not 100% as if he wasn't really that healthy

granted, i do think koby would at least pretend to hate luffy and all he is. just like in the canon though, he does a sucky job at it

yeah koby would show up Luffy's second year since koby is a year younger than him. So Ace and Sabo (and bepo(he's there too)) would be graduated and i bewieve luffy would take over as captain and start recruiting more strawhats on the team like usopp and chopper(when luffy is a senior) and im thinking sanji would transfer to their school during luffy's second year.

Zoro is already on the team but he would be held back cuz he's ass at his grades and he would also be kicked off the team at the end of the year because of them too, ha loser. he'd get back on it the following year though. Sanji would also have failed his senior year. He would have failed out of his highschool and have to retake senior year at sha chishiki.

By the way, all of their ages are the same in canon. theyre just a little younger so they can be in highschool.

im imagining some romeo and juliet shit happening with luffy and koby. I really like imagining Sabo fucking hating the naval academy, Ace not really hating them but thinking koby is a wimpy little crybaby and hating him anyway. And one day Luffy brings Koby over their house just to throw around the ol' volley skin and ace and sabo being like "What the hell is that doing here."

and luffy being like "He's my new friend :D we'll be in the backyard so we wont bother you guys" and as luffy and koby walk past the two older brothers, they both give koby a Scowl For The Ages.

i just love imagining Sabo and Ace detesting Koby in general. Theyre so sillyyy~~

Of course!

He’s introverted and feels uncomfortable around humans and monsters. If he can avoid directly socializing with someone, he will.

When he is forced into interaction he thinks he’s awkward, but he comes across as cold (due to his manner) and intimidating (due to his appearance). He’s not used to people wanting to engage with him after their first conversation with him. . . So anyone who actively seeks him out for more conversation with leave him gobsmacked and flustered.

He loves to learn. It doesn’t matter what the topic is, he genuinely enjoys obtaining information. If there’s something you love to chat about that he doesn’t know, he will eagerly listen to every bit of knowledge you have.

He also enjoys sharing his knowledge. If there’s something you want to know that he can explain, he’ll be happy to teach you. For example: if you don’t know how to sign, and he likes you well enough, he’ll dedicate weekends to tutoring you.

Touch starved in a way that he doesn’t even realize it. It’s been. . . A very long time since he’s let down his guard enough to let someone touch him. But once you’re in that trusted circle, he’ll be craving your touch constantly. Even if it’s not a conscious action or thought for a long time.

Hyperfixates. If in a romantic relationship with him, that hyperfixates will be zeroed in on you. He doesn’t want to control you, but he does want to know every little detail about you and keep you safe.

He will prioritize safety over happiness for someone he is courting. This does mean if he views someone or something in your life as a threat to your well being, he will remove it. Even if it means you’ll resent him for it later.

Once through the awkward phase, he’s a gentleman to his partner. Because of his fixation on you, he becomes very aware of your moods and will adapt your time spent together accordingly. Feeling low energy? That’s ok, you can stay in and the two of you can binge watch a series together. Feeling grumpy and need to vent? That’s ok, he’ll be happy to listen. Feeling sociable and want to go out? He can take you dancing—just don’t expect him to talk to anyone besides you.

He’ll open doors for you, cook for/with you, fold laundry with you, dust those hard to reach places for you, etc.

While he’s lived among humans and monsters long enough to understand basic courting etiquette. . . He’s still a predator. He’ll slip up and try to occasionally court you as a siren would. This does mean that when he accidentally sings to you he’ll unintentionally put you into a trance. He’ll be deeply apologetic about it afterward though!

If you are okay with his broken voice, and perhaps struggle to sleep, once far enough into the courtship he’ll be okay to sing you to sleep. The slumber caused by his singing is. . . Unlike anything a human or monster could experience. It’s deep without being suffocating; peaceful without apprehension; restful without worrying about aches and pains when you awaken.

If set in the same timeline as the game he will expect you to get along with his adopted child. That’s non negotiable. He is okay if you want to be difficult with Sans though. In fact, if you bully tease the orca siren he’d be tickled pink with glee.

i definitely misunderstood a teeny bit but now yes I see what you are saying about the designs. Mixing Soundwave’s designs would do him a lot of favors mobility wise and I also love the idea of his scales being a purple to blue gradient kinda like a chromic sort of look. Either way I see what you mean.

The caudal fin would definitely depend on whichever fish you are basing the tail off of (If you are taking inspo from earths sea-life ofc) but that also applies to the dorsal, pelvic, ventral, and other smaller fins. For the “how does it work” part, the lunate caudal fin is better for speed, forked for distance, and emarginate for agility (i used to be a huge shark and fish nerd but that was a while ago so my knowledge is a bit rusty)

I’m crashing out a bit I just love details. Fish physiology is so weird on its own and now combining it with bio mechanical beings is gonna be a wild ride.

ALSO speaking of dietary concerns playing into the habitual differences, may I perhaps introduce the idea of food insecurity (idk maybe megs, sounds, and other cons being used to a lack of prey and maybe adapting to eating less). Another thing, with us humans, eating in other countries is sometimes dangerous bcs our bodies arent used to the microbes and bacteria in the food and that makes us sick so maybe the same thing can apply here where if megs tried to eat something from the shallower waters it would make him sick

I can see that if soundwave is a bit tanky, his tail, especially the start of it around his hips and pelvis, would be thicker and also probably be more durable than, say, the end of his tail or his fins.

However, I do not exactly remember whether fins have to be a certain thickness for better speed. I did think that Rodimus would have some sturdiness to his tail and fins for speed considering he’s a racer

OH how do alt modes play into the designs? OR do they not matter at all?
